This booklet is divided into three parts, the biographical notes from 1907 to date, similar for players before 1907 − in fact the only county game played before 1907 was the 1903 match against the Philadelphians. Silksheen
(The History of East Kirkby Airfield)
Softback book by Geoff D. Copeman first published in 1989. "Silksheen was a code−word, chosen during the Second World War as the call−sign for Flying Control at East Kirkby. This Lincolnshire airfield was the wartime base of 57 and 630 Squadrons with Lancasters and later host to Lincolns, Mosquitos and the USAAF with their SC−47s. It is now the home of the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage and the ex−Scampton gate guard Lancaster, forming a major local tourist interest. The author describes the developement of the airfield, wartime operations and subsequent history, well supported by 75 black and white photos." The book is in good condition. Louth Flood Edition
Illustrated London News dated 5th June 1920 with details of Louth flood. Contents include 12 large photographs of flood damage (one shows the shop at the junction of James Street and Ramsgate Road) plus a two page drawing showing the flood waters "roaring along James Street" Three of the photographs are of the children of Mr George Berry of Enginegate. The text includes the names Swingler, Berry, Dr Higgins, Fireman Phillipson, Rev Henry Cox and Dr Loughton Smith. Other articles include "Our Note Book" by G.K. Chesterton, "The Grain of Mustard Seed" a play in three acts by H.M. Harwood, Art in the Sale Rooms, The World of Theatre, Ladies´ News.
